Summer Reading Challenge

Start Date: Saturday 9 July 2022 

End Date: Monday 12 September 2022 

 

The challenge is for children to read any six books from their local library and is free to take part. This year's theme – ‘Gadgeteers’ – is a celebration of science and innovation. The Reading Agency is partnering with Science Museum Group to inspire children across the country to feed their imagination over the summer holiday, with a reading challenge focused on science and innovation. 

 

How it will work 

3 visits to the library to complete the challenge this year to encourage families to visit our libraries: 

Visit 1: Sign up, receive starter pack and 1st set of stickers.  Choose any 3 books.  

Visit 2: Visit library to return first 3 books and borrow 3 more.  Receive 2nd set of stickers.   

Visit 3: Return last 3 books to complete the challenge and receive certificate, medal, 3rd set of stickers.

 

STICKERS AND MEDALS CAN BE GIVEN OUT AT SUMMER HOLIAY CLUB!!

Below is the link to Staffordshire libraries where it is free to join and take books and we also offer free E-Books and E- Audio books as well as free PC access. Our multisensory room has just reopened after Covid and again that is free. The libraries have lots going on.
